Slips

I think a big part of my clothing inspiration of the years

has come from By George in Austin.

When I was in college I remember going into the store & feeling inspired...

there was just something about it that felt so familiar.

I remember discovering a line called Dosa that I freaked out over.

I couldn't afford it at the time but it was a line I really appreciated.

As I've worked harder thru the years, I've slowly accumulated pieces of the line & I wear all of them every year.  Mostly the slips.  I love to layer clothing...I love when women dress how you'll see a layer of either jewelry or clothing that will catch your eye - you almost have to "de-puzzle" the look if that makes any sense.  Dosa's details do that for me - the ruffle, the lace, the embroidery - I just love it.

I pulled out my sewing machine yesterday...I'm going to attempt to create

a slip or two...beyond excited.
